"Rainbows apologise for angry skies"
Rainbows are one of those lovely things that remind us that despite the rain - something special is just waiting to be discovered.
This morning I had a blonde moment - I had a meeting I needed to get to - dutifully travelled through appalling traffic - got there to find its next week. So, not the best start to the day. Worst was I missed breakfast (breakfast was to be provided!) and I was hungry. Anyone who knows me, knows I believe breakfast to be the most important meal of the day. I don't cope well without breakfast.
What does this have to do with rainbows you ask?
When we walked out our front door - there she was - a pretty rainbow. Reminding me to stop and see the beauty - not to be so caught up in a mistake and certainly not to let that one thing ruin my day.
So, today I have been thinking of this rainbow and how it just appeared as we walked out - it wasn't there when I pulled into home 15 mins earlier but it was there to smooth the ruffled feathers of the messed up morning. It worked a treat.
Somedays you just need to be reminded of why the world we live in is so gorgeous - and I would love you the reader to share in this special slice of paradise.
SO, just because I love rainbows and you deserve a pick me up just as much as the next person - here is some candy for you eyes and some soothing for your soul!!
These pics were taken in Devonport. We had gone there to get out of the house and to blow the cobwebs away, earlier last term.
Devonport is a lovely suburb in the North Shore of Auckland. Its old, its historical and its stunning. On this day = it was showing off rainbows.
